Stefan Antić
Zsolt has over 20 years of international experience in security, risk management, and strategic advisory. As a U.S. Congress scholar, he studied International Relations at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and later pursued national security studies there. He has held senior roles across high-risk environments, including as General Director of a U.S. private security company in Mexico, overseeing nearly 3,000 personnel, and as head of the Hungarian Trade House in Mexico. His experience also includes positions as Senior Security Manager for Mexico, Colombia, and Venezuela at a U.S. telecommunications firm, Vice President in security and investigations at a U.S.-owned bank, Manager in financial advisory at a multinational consultancy, and Senior Consultant at a leading risk management firm. He has produced geopolitical assessments for corporate clients and media outlets and has lectured at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) on European diplomatic and modern history. Zsolt speaks Hungarian, English, and Spanish.
Bailey is a British researcher at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs. He completed his PhD in 2025 which looked into how U.S. presidential doctrines were instrumentalised in political discourse to affect the legitimation of foreign policy choices. His work has been published by Palgrave Macmillan, Magyar Nemzet, Eurasia Review, Intelligence & National Security, and E-International Relations. He has worked in multiple sectors in the United Kingdom and in Europe, including within policy think tanks, financial services, academia, and charities. Currently, he is writing a book entitled “U.S. Presidential Doctrines and European Security Since the End of the Cold War,” which will be published with Palgrave Macmillan in 2027. Bailey speaks English and Spanish.
Stefan is a senior researcher at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs. Prior to this, he was a senior researcher at the Centre for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) and managing editor of Horizons, CIRSD’s flagship quarterly journal. Stefan received his BA and his master’s degree from the University of Manchester in political science. His writings have been published in a number of publications, including the National Interest, South China Morning Post, and The Geopolitics. Stefan also appears on national television to provide his insights and analysis on contemporary geopolitical events. His main areas of interest focus on Europe and Central Asia. Stefan speaks Serbian, English, and Russian.
